Misdiagnosed my car. Real issue was a blown line ($90 part) and was quoted $1100 to drop the trans and replace the slave cylinder. Mistakes happen but they would have diagnosed it correctly had they done more than just a visible inspection. However the downrating is due to their bad attitude when I questioned why they were charging $600 for a $90 part. The guy got an attitude and said "Good luck finding that part." So I did....it took me 30 seconds to find it too!
Obed, thank you for bringing this to my attention. We take our reviews very seriously. I'm not sure of the details of this experience yet but I assure you, I will make it a high priority to investigate the situation and make corrections so it won't happen again. I'm sorry for you experience. This is not a normal occurrence in our shop. I'll know more once I interview our staff and get more details. I was able to investigate further. As it turns out, you brought the vehicle to our shop to inspect for hydraulic clutch issues. We saw fluid dripping from the bottom of the transmission bell housing. We suspected the internal slave cylinder was leaking which would require trans removal. We recommended to inspect further. You declined to have it looked into further and took your vehicle. We didn't even charge for the inspection. You claim that the problem was only a $100 line/hose doesn't make any sense.
