Car Care tips:
|
|
|
Always consult your owner's manual, but a good rule of thumb is to have the oil filter changed regularly - every 3,000 to 4,000 miles.
Have all fluids checked, including brake, power steering, transmission/transaxle, windshield washer solvent and antifreeze. These fluids play a large role in the safety and performance of the vehicle.
Check tire inflation. Under-inflated tires can result in a loss of fuel efficiency. This is the least expensive form of preventive and safety maintenance. Tires should be checked once a month.
Keep your engine tuned. A fouled spark plug or plugged or restricted fuel injector can reduce fuel efficiency by as much as 30 percent.
Have the lighting system checked frequently, including headlights, turn signals, and brake and taillights. |

My name is Gary, also known as "Doogie". 15 years ago I graduated from Purdue with a BA in aircraft manufacturing and repair. I came to CA in 1996 and I needed employment until the aircraft industry had growth. So I took a job with Made in Japan. I found that I believed in the shop's mission and decided to make it my career. In 2004 I took over ownership with the determination to take our shop to the next level of our evolution by providing a unique experience for both our clients and our crew. Our efforts keep us focused on our clients and their total experience here. We enjoy what we do and look forward to what the future has in store for us. I've also worked with B.A.R (Bureau of Automotive Repair in Licensing, ASE NATEF, and currently sit on the PAC advisory board for UTI (Universal Technical Institute) here in Sacramento.

Hi my name is Tammy, I am the Service Manager here at Made in Japan/Made in America. Before coming here, I spent 10 years working in the auto parts industry with my family owned NAPA store. I came to this shop in 2006 for a change of scenery and to bring my experience to the repair side. I have extensive training in customer service and shop management with ATI (Automotive Training Institute. I really enjoy working with people and helping to solve their automotive concerns. It's nice to work for a company where I get to have the freedom to hold quality levels to my high expectations. Being a woman in this industry allows me to bring a unique perspective to what we do and how our clients are treated.
A note from Gary: In 15 years here, Tammy is by far the best service manager that I've ever had the privilege of working with! |

My name is Aaron, I am the shop foreman. I have over 23 years of experience in the field and I still learn something new every day. That's one of the reasons that I enjoy working here. Our shop is constantly sending us to school for advanced training that help us keep on top of the latest advancements in automotive care and diagnostics. Working here is like being part of an extended family, literally! I've never worked at a shop that values it's employees and clients as much as we do! |
